- what is the distance from the rim to center of punchouts?
- Hi William, Thank you for reaching out. Regarding our 12x12 Catch Basin Ductile Cast Iron Package, the center is approximately 5.6" from the outside edge.
- Is it normal for the catch basin to hold a little water in the bottom because the drain pipe out the side is not at the bottom of the box.
- Hi Cory, Thank you for reaching out. It is normal for the catch basin to hold water and sediment at the bottom. This design prevents debris from entering the water line through the outlet. You can clear this out as part of your regular routine maintenance.
- Can this basin be plumbed out the bottom? Or is it sides only.
- Hello! The 12x12 Catch Basin is designed to allow only a side outlet connection for water distribution. While modifications can be made based on your application, they are not recommended and would not be covered under our drainage warranty.
- Can I lay asphalt around these catch basins or will the temperature of the asphalt melt it?
- Hi Tyler, Thank you for reaching out. With our 12x12 Catch Basin, we do not recommend embedding this with asphalt as it is made out of plastic. - Can i use standard PVC primer and glue to connect pipe to the basin?
- Yes that is not a problem at all. We also sell our own professional polymer sealant on the site if you want something a bit more industrial. Thank you for your question!
